You are invited to join Alfred State College alumni and friends as we discover the beauty, history, culture, and folklore of the remarkable island nations of Ireland. Travel with us to Ireland where we will experience the warmth and mystery that is part of this charming culture. We will begin our tour in Dublin with visits that include, but are not limited to: St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College (home of the Book of Kells), the Temple Bar Region, and the Grafton Street Shopping Plaza. Of course, a trip to Ireland for St. Patrick's Day would be incomplete without attending the parade through the heart of Dublin and completing the day with a trip to the world famous Abbey Tavern for dinner and an evening of traditional Irish music and entertainment.
Additionally, we will tour many popular historic attractions including: Blarney Castle and Woolen Mill where you can make the climb to kiss the Blarney Stone; the Waterford Crystal Factory where you will have the opportunity to purchase some of this amazing glassware; the Cliffs of Moher where you will stand 700 feet above the pounding surf of the North Atlantic Ocean; and enjoy many other amazing sights and experiences as well as ample time for personal exploration, shopping, and pub hopping.
Cost: $2,600 per person for double occupancy. Price includes round-trip airfare from Buffalo to Ireland, hotel accommodations, all breakfasts and four dinners while in Ireland, ground transportation in Ireland, tour guide, admissions to the scheduled attractions, and our travel administrative fee. The V.A.T., extra baggage fees, passport fee, and other personal expenses are not included. Single room requests can be honored for an additional fee.
