Joining "student communities" outside the classroom is a great way to make friends, exercise leadership and teamwork, and cultivate the interests that make you who you are.
Student Senate and ACES sponsored "Give Up A Meal." The $1,512 raised was donated to the Literacy Volunteers of Allegany County in support of the Breakfast with Santa program.As a college of technology, our emphasis is on education. The four tenets of Greek life focus on developing student leaders, promoting academic success and scholarship, fostering life-long friendships and involving students in community service and philanthropic activities. Given the standards of success associated with fulfilling the four tenets of Greek life, the College has a strict policy regarding pledging Greek fraternities and sororities. Part of determining eligibility includes a status check and a consultative process with faculty to insure academic success with the transition to Greek life.
In January 2008, members of the college administration and representatives of the Greek community met over the course of three days to develop a definitive document that captures the expectations of both constituencies. The white paper that resulted is known as the Campus Relationship Statement (PDF format). During the January 2009 Greek Alumni Festival, an educational session (PDF) further explained our mutual expectations.

Alpha Rho Kappa has withdrawn it's request for recognition. Delta Lambda Rho, a women's sorority is currently inactive on the campus and is not authorized to rush, pledge, or intake members as of Fall 2007.
Based on previous serious violations of the College's Code of Student Conduct and criminal law that jeopardized the safety of students, Psi Delta Omega, a men's fraternity, is not recognized by the College. Students who choose to rush, pledge, and/or join an expelled organizations can be charged disciplinary and dismissed from the College.
