Fraternities and Sororities

As a college of technology, our emphasis is on education. The four tenets of Greek life focus on developing student leaders, promoting academic success and scholarship, fostering life-long friendships and involving students in community service and philanthropic activities. Given the standards of success associated with fulfilling the four tenets of Greek life, the College has a strict policy regarding pledging Greek fraternities and sororities. Please note the following:

First-semester students may not rush and/or pledge any fraternity or sorority.
To be eligible, students must have a grade point average of 2.00 or higher.
Transfer students must bring a minimum of twelve credit hours from their previous institution to be eligible for first semester pledging.

Part of determining eligibility includes a status check and a consultative process with faculty to insure academic success with the transition to Greek life.

Greek organizations with a ** (new organizations) have achieved provisional recognition by the College and are working towards full recognition.

Alpha Rho Kappa has withdrawn it's request for recognition. Delta Lambda Rho, a women's sorority is currently inactive on the campus and is not authorized to rush, pledge, or intake members as of Fall 2007.

Based on previous serious violations of the College's Code of Student Conduct and criminal law that jeopardized the safety of students, two men's fraternities, Psi Delta Omega and Kappa Sigma Epsilon, are not recognized by the College. Students who choose to rush, pledge, and/or join an expelled organizations can be charged disciplinary and dismissed from the College.
