Alfred State is building on its tradition of rewarding academic excellence by offering three new scholarship opportunities for academically talented students entering our baccalaureate degree, associate degree, and certificate programs. Called the Distinguished Scholars Program, please note students must live on campus and be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents to receive any of the three Distinguished Scholars Program scholarships.
Scholarships are guaranteed to qualified students who are accepted by March 1. Additional awards will be made after this date depending on funding availability.
Free tuition (equivalent to NYS tuition rate), room (double occupancy), and board; multiple scholarships available; students must possess a 93 or better high school average through their junior year; at least a 1200 combined SAT or 26 composite ACT score is required and students must apply for financial aid; must maintain required GPA to continue to receive funding in subsequent semesters.
Free room (double occupancy); multiple scholarships available; students must possess a 90 or better high school average through their junior year; at least a 1150 combined SAT or 25 composite ACT score is required; must maintain required GPA to continue to receive free room in subsequent semesters.
Free board; multiple scholarships available; students must possess an 88 or better high school average through their junior year; at least a 1100 combined SAT or 24 composite ACT score is required; must maintain required GPA to continue to receive free board in subsequent semesters.
