The Annual Parent Fund

Alfred State College's Annual Parent Fund was established to help support the College's educational philosophy to graduate students who "hit the ground running." For many years, the Annual Parent Fund focused on raising dollars for the Peer Tutor Program - a vital program through which students receive tutoring from fellow students, at no charge. The fund is now dedicated to providing funds that can be used to enhance learning (through the Peer Tutor Program) as well as the quality of life on campus (through Student Activities).

The Annual Parent Fund makes a significant difference in helping Alfred State students extend their education by developing leadership skills and learning the value of community involvement.

The College sees you as an integral partner in looking at ways that we can provide new opportunities for students to engage in important and exciting new programs that are not funded through the student activity fee or other College-based programs. Through the Annual Parent Fund we invite you to partner with the College in initiatives that will enhance student life."

What do gifts to the Annual Parent Fund support?

Dollars raised through the Annual Parent Fund will be distributed to programs and student clubs and for educational, social, and athletic activities that encourage student/faculty/staff interaction such as peer tutoring, late night events, student leadership training, student celebrations, and national student competitions.

How can I make a gift?

• Checks: A gift of a personal check is an easy way to give. Checks should be made payable to ASC Development Fund and mailed to: Office of Institutional Advancement, Huntington Administration Building, 10 Upper College Drive, Alfred, NY 14802

• Credit Card: We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover Cards.  Gifts may also be made online by clicking here or by calling (607) 587-4070.

• Securities: A gift of appreciated stock will provide support for Alfred State College at full market value and with no capital gains tax paid by the donor.

• Planned Gifts: Planned gifts through wills, gift annuities, charitable trusts are also welcome. Click here for more information about planned giving.

• Matching Gifts: Your support to Alfred State College can be doubled or even tripled through corporate matching gift programs. Companies may match gifts from employees, spouses, and retirees. Please contact your company's human resources department or Alfred State's matching gift page for further information.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Donors who itemize deductions receive a full tax benefit.
